The audit schedule

Schedule is the register of audits. Search by title, purpose or standard, and status. Sort by due date, title, purpose, kind, or status.

Add an audit

On Schedule, use Add Audit. A new audit needs a title and a due date. You can also set:

  • Audit kind. Internal or external.
  • Status. Draft, scheduled, in progress, completed, or cancelled.
  • Purpose / framework / standard. For example ISO/IEC 27001:2022, a penetration test, or SOC 2.
  • Scope notes. What this audit is limited to.

An ad-hoc audit

Add Audit also offers an ad-hoc audit from questions. Choose questions from the bank and the new audit is created with those checklist items already attached. Use this when you need one audit now, rather than a generated plan.

Change a row

From the row you can view the audit, open the checklist, edit the record, or delete it. Delete selected removes the audits you have ticked. Completed and cancelled audits stay on the register so the history remains. They drop out of overdue and upcoming counts.

The checklist is described in Audit checklists and findings. A whole year’s worth of audits is easier to create from Planning.
