A control is only as credible as the proof that it operated, and that the proof is still in date. The evidence library is that store. Tests decide effectiveness. The library is where the files live so the same proof can be used again.
What the library is for
Each item has a title, a type, and an expiry. Types cover an image, a document, a spreadsheet, a presentation, a PDF, or another file. A file can be up to 50 MB.
A test run can attach a file from this library, upload a file, point at a document, or save an image of a register as it stood at that moment. A newer run replaces that test’s previous evidence. Archived evidence stays listed and is left out of the in-date check. The control’s evidence health is then no evidence, all expired, some expired, or all in date.
When you need to change it
The evidence library and using evidence on a control test describe the store and the run.
