How document management helps

Document management is the organisation’s library of controlled documents. The register is the list. The calendar is when each document is due. Intent monitoring is whether the policies meet the clause intents they are written for.

What the library shows

Types, statuses, classifications, and custom attributes are lists you define, so filters and forms use the same words. A type can limit the file extensions that may be uploaded.

  • The register. Title, status, current version, who manages it, and the next review date. A review due within 30 days is due soon.
  • The overview. How the library is organised: counts by type and classification, review status, and readiness across the register.
  • The document calendar. Overdue reviews, reviews due within 30 days, later reviews, last reviewed, and when the document was created.
  • Intent monitoring. Each clause intent is Met when every underlying statement is met, Unmet when none are, and Partially met otherwise. Policies are listed as primary or secondary, with a grade.

When you need to change it

The document register, versions and reviews, document configuration, and intent monitoring describe the library.
